The Madison Barracks #2082 was chartered in 1920 in Madison, SD by Cliff Coffey. As the years passed, the Post was renamed Mosher-McKibbin American Legion Post #25 after Eugene McKibbin and Robert Mosher. The Post has always been active in the Madison Community and over the years the Post supports American Legion Boy's State and the American Legion Auxiliary sponsors a separate but similar program for young women called Girls State.
