The South Dakota Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program provides information and referral assistance, education to increase community awareness of resident’s rights, and training for long-term care facility staff. The Long Term Care Ombudsman program is a program of the Department of Human Services Division of Long Term Services and Supports. Regional Ombudsman and Volunteers work to enhance the quality of life and services for people receiving long term services and supports.
