SDCUC Seeks Farmers for Open District The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council (SDCUC) is a visionary and influential producer leadership organization in the state. The 9-member Board manages and invests South Dakota's 1-cent per bushel corn checkoff. UTH DAKOT ON COUNCIL A GROWING INVESTMENT The SDCUC is announcing a Director position open in District 2. A SDCUC Director's position consists of a three-year term ending on February 28, 2029. If you are a corn farmer from District 2 and are interested in seeking a Board seat, you must obtain a nominating petition with the SDCUC office. All nominating petitions must contain at least 15 participating corn producer signatures who reside in your district. (A "participating" corn producer produced corn in the state during the current or preceding marketing year.) Both a participating grower and eligible candidates who wish to seek a Director's position cannot have requested a checkoff refund since January 2025. Nominating petitions must be returned to the SDCUC office by 5pm on January 10, 2026. To request a nomination petition please contact the SDCUC office in person at 4712 S. If more than one nominating petition is received by the SDCUC office for any district, an election will be conducted for that district. The election will be held February 9, 2026 by absentee voting.
